The Millennium Prayer
Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as in heaven
Give us to thee our daily bread
And forgive our sins
As we forgive each one of those who sin against us
And lead us not to the time of trial
But deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom the power and the glory
Lead us not to the time of trial
Keep us from evil
For thine is the kingdom the power and the glory
Let all the people sing Amen
In every tribe and tongue
Let every hearts desire be joined
To see the kingdom come
Let every hope and every dream
Be born in love again
Let all the world sing with one voice
Let the people say amen
It's strange. I am meditating on the words as I play the Millennium Prayer over and over again at work since yesterday. The manager who heard the song thought I was singing Auld Lang Syne to myself because the Millennium Prayer by Cliff Richard embraces the tune. But it's an empowering song; it fuels in me strength that could pull me through the remaining days I have in my 4x4 cubicle.
I really should start packing, but what the heck! I needed to sort out something more important than physical things. And right now, the thing is known as Fragile Hearts. And what I need is not an organised luggage as I leave; I need to embrace these last days and make the best out of it so that people will remember me for who I am and not for someone who has left them behind. Let every hope and every dream be born in love again...
Mini Bites of the day: Remember your dreams despite your hard times and strive to realise them as you walk along in this journey called life.
